And were filled
And were filled
Mark 6:41-42 "And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all. And they did all eat, and were filled."
Two verses later we learn the number men who ate their fill: 5,000.
Jesus has this habit of taking just a little and making something big out of it.
This is not enough by any man's calculation. But our mathematics and God's are quite different.
He can take anything - or nothing at all - and make it enough.
But He didn't only provide what was needed, He went above and beyond (another of His habits), and there were twelve baskets of fragments left over.
We may be looking at what we have today and thinking "not enough." This may be the logical conclusion, but human logic doesn't rule the day when Jesus is involved.
Give it to Him. We may be surprised what He does.
