Happy is he
Happy is he
Psalm 146:5-6 “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:”
We know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob provides help for His people. Those who hope in Him are happy.
We are happy because we trust in the One who made everything. The One who is worthy of being trusted both now and forever.
Going to Him for help is obvious. He has the power to intervene, radically altering our lives and our circumstances.
Before coming to know God through Christ, we may have relied upon ourselves or upon other people or upon money or a social safety net or anything else.
If we trust He can secure our eternity in heaven, how can we not trust He will provide help here and now?
Those trusting “anything else” often find themselves quite unhappy. They learn all people and all things in this world are flawed.
Happiness is found in the Lord – our hope and our help.
