He is not a man
He is not a man
Job 9:32-33 “For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment. Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.”
Job is coming to grips with the trials and difficulties that he is facing in this chapter.
He is brutally honest and quite eloquent in the description of his feelings.
Here, he is talking about his interaction with God, and how it is differs from interaction with men.
Job says he is unable to have an argument or a discussion with God, as he would with men. And is unable to have his case heard in court.
No arbiter can be brought between them to hear both sides of the story.
Men must respond to whatever God allows to come into their lives. And while we can plead with Him, He may not respond immediately, and certainly not verbally.
It is up to us, as it was up to Job, to trust Him and live based upon His word.
He is in charge. And He answers. But sometimes the answer is just in our learning, growing, and being challenged.
