If a man say
If a man say
I John 4:20 "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
It's possible a person can claim to love God, while their actions prove exactly the opposite.
Here we learn that if a man says he loves God, but hates his brother, he is lying.
There is a very simple reason for this. When we fail to love a brother we can physically see and hear and touch, we must certainly fail to love a God that cannot be physically seen or heard or touched.
We are all created by God. And those knowing Jesus are indwelled by His Spirit.
We come to Him because He loves us, as undeserving as we may be. And He places those who are equally undeserving in our lives and says "love them."
We love Him, because He first loved us, and we love them because He loves us - and because He loves them.
Brothers and sisters are within arm's reach to be loved. When we do, we show how much we actually love God.
