Let him deny himself

Jesus says if any man comes after me, let him deny himself, in Matthew 16:24-25. This audio devotional is about committing to give up our lives for Jesus.

Let him deny himself

Matthew 16:24-25 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”

Before we come to know Christ as Savior, giving up our lives for Him seems a rather a big ask.

But when He uses His word to help us understand His great love. When we experience His life-changing power. And when we have the peace of knowing our eternal home is with Him in heaven, everything changes.

He provides blessings that are deep and made to last.

Following our own path and satisfying our own desires seems great for a while. But we soon learn how quickly these earthly pleasures lose their appeal.

Believers who give their lives fully to Him, denying self, don’t regret it.

Far from losing our lives, we find life in Him. And life in Him is worth taking up our cross to follow, today.

Matthew 16:24-25 “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
