We all do fade
We all do fade
Isaiah 64:6 "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
We find a well-established theme in this scripture. The Bible says it over and over: all men are sinful.
Sin has been passed down from Adam. We are sinners by birth and sinners by choice.
And everything we do to be "righteous" ourselves can be regarded as "filthy rags" according to this verse.
The wages of sin is death and we are all fading. It says here that our iniquity, like the wind, has taken us away.
The wonderful news is that a perfectly sinless man came to earth - the God of the universe - to become the sacrifice for our sins.
If we place our faith and trust in Him the slate can be cleaned, our sins can be forgiven, and we can be made new.
Eternal death can give way to eternal life. And we can be given freedom from our slavery to sin.
All the unrighteous must hear this truth and be given the opportunity to embrace this Savior!
