Work of thy hand
Work of thy hand
Isaiah 64:8 "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand."
We may want to give ourselves credit for the things we are and the things we have today, but no one can be their own creator.
Every person is a work of God's hand.
God's people not only acknowledge Him as Creator, but also submit to Him fully, allowing Him to mold us into His son's image.
Every interim shape along the way is up to Him. Our job is to remain pliable in His hands every day.
We are not inactive in the process. He provides responsibilities that help us to learn, trials that build our character, relationships that spur us on, and we participate in all.
But we do so with an attitude of submission and surrender. Never resistant to the shaping, ready to flex and bend in the ways He requires.
We have a Father who loves us. An expert potter that makes every lump a masterpiece, fit for His use.
I wonder if we are the willing, active participants we need to be?
